Las Pailas Trail is located in the Las Pailas sector of Rincón de la Vieja National Park, about 25 kilometers from Liberia, Costa Rica. The trailhead is easily accessible by car, or tours with transportation included. To get to Las Pailas trail head north from downtown Liberia for about 5km and make a right turn towards the town of Curubandé – Rincon de la Vieja National Park and keep driving straight for about 30 minutes. Then, you will drive through Hacienda Guachipelin Hotel (There is a toll you have to pay which is ₡800 per person). Once you drive past Hacienda Guachipelin, keep driving straight and Rincon de la Vieja National Park will be at the end of the road.
